Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and direction to Wal-Mart’s transportation and origin service providers in country by building cooperative relationships and ensure Wal-Mart shipments are given first priority.
  • Provide logistical expertise, coordination, and planning to the local GP sourcing and merchant teams to deliver shipments on time in most efficient manner.
  • Establish and manage effective communication across the GP office network and retail markets on shipping/logistics policies, origin cargo management and transportation providers.
  • Ensure all WMT shipping procedures & policies are implemented / executed consistently.
  • Follow up as appropriate to ensure compliance to shipping procedures.
  • Review current logistic process to identify opportunities to reduce costs and/or simplify logistics processes.
  • Monitor/Measure service providers’ performance and implement correction actions where necessary.
  • Provide training and sharing best practices across GP network.
  • Train in country transportation providers and origin cargo managers in order to provide necessary operational support to suppliers

Educational Requirements: University 4-year degree/ Bachelors in Supply Chain.

Experience Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in International Sourcing.
  • Solid knowledge of supply chain, logistics and procurement operations.
