Save the Children Australia (SCA) in Bangladesh is inviting application from the suitable candidates for the following position.

 

Project Manager/Counselor – Safe Home

Reporting to: Protection Focal Person
Post Location: Stationed at Dhaka with frequent filed visit to other districts
Salary: Negotiable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

The key responsibilities of the position is to provide psychological help and counseling to the children at safe home. Managing and providing supervision guidance to safe home staff its volunteer children and playing active roles in mentoring and developing their professionalism and team spirit. Case supervision and maintaining counseling record through case management. S/he is also responsible for developing training module, presentation materials for counseling training, communicate with counseling expert of national and international level and organize skill training for staff development, arrange psychological professional group meeting for national level initiative/ advocacy.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES:

  • Masters in Psychology or in relevant discipline. Diploma in counseling will be considered as an added qualification.
  • Minimum 05 years experience in development field of which 03 years experience in Counseling.
  • Provide Psycho-social help and counseling to children at Safe Home
  • Case supervision and maintaining counseling record through case management. 
  • Knowledge on psycho-social help and counseling and as well as case management.
  • Knowledge and experience on national and international standards on Safe Home.
  • S/he should be assertive, self starter and must have an excellent management capacity along with analytical judgment on organizational issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and knowledge on both English & Bangla typing.
  • Excellent skill in communication and team work.
  • Satisfactory level of professional English writing skill.
