A reputed foreign buying house is looking for a Merchandising Manager for its liaison office in Dhaka.

| Responsibilities: |
| 1. |
Market Research |
| - |
Assisting the Purchasing Manager (PM) to perform market research concerning manufacturers, |
| |
fabric suppliers, fabrics, garment accessories, products or product groups and prices. |
| 2. |
Merchandising / Order Follow-up |
| - |
Preparation of off-buying-season offer sample collections, price quotation and order placement. |
| - |
Control of pre-production stages and overseeing the inline and final inspection with the QA team. |
| - |
Control and confirmation of garment accessories. |
| - |
Monitoring the status of approval / pre-production / salesman / photo samples/delivery. |
| 3. |
Quality Control |
| - |
Planning and preparation of quality control schedules together with the QA team. |
| - |
Sample checking, monitoring results of lab test reports and final approval for production release. |
| - |
Arrange intermediate and final inspection and issue of inspection reports with the QA team. |
| 4. |
Claim Negotiation |
| - |
Carry through any claims or order cancellations and negotiate with the supplier. |
| 5. |
Buyer Support |
| - |
Preparation for PM's trips and assistance in matters of quotation / negotiation, order placing and |
| |
order sheet control. |
| 6. |
Personnel |

Manage personnel matters and assist the Board of Directors regarding personnel decisions. |

| Requirements: |

At least 10 years experience in this field |
| - |
Minimum Bachelor Degree |
| - |
Excellent knowledge of garment merchandising and production procedures |

Independent working and sourcing experiences |
| - |
Excellent negotiation skills |
| - |
Experienced team leader |
| - |
Fluent in English (German language is an advantage but not a must) |
