Project Manager

Project /Area   : Health Education and Livelihood Support Programme for Ultrpoor- Funded by European Commission – Rangpur.
Supervisor/Title  : Program Manager - Development Programme
Grade : Grade-V, Step-7

The Project Manager is a Senior Management position of the Project. He will report to Program Manager of the IRW-B and has to maintain close contact with the project people and other staff of the finance and Partner Organizations.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  1. Strategic planning for program implementation (annually, quarterly and monthly).
  2. Financial management in the project arena.
  3. Performance appraisal and staff development in the project arena.
  4. Administration and personnel management in the project arena
  5. Coordination and communication with project stakeholders, GOs, NGOs and IRCO
  6. Progress monitoring of project activities (process and performance of activities)
  7. Organize and conduction of meeting, seminar and workshop with project stakeholders, GOs and internal project staffs.
  8. Budgeting and review the project activities based on demand and situation of project arena.
  9. Advocacy and develop the network with GOs, NGOs, Community in the project areas. 
  10. Qualitative and quantitative report writing (monthly, quarterly, annually and project completion).
  11. Documentation and recording the success and failure of project achievement.
  12. Any other tasks assigned by Supervisor in relation to projects activities

Qualification/Experience:

  1. MBA/ MDS/ Master in Economics/ Relevant subjects Graduation/ Post Graduation in any discipline.
  2. 7 years working experience as Project Manager out of which 3 years in food security and livelihood project.

  Language:

  1. Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla. Computer proficiency in Excel spreadsheets; word processing; Email; data management.

  Disposition:

  1. Understanding of different types of Programs and Technical Know how.
  2. Knowledge of Finance & Administration and Training Facilitation
  3. Ability to guide project personnel & Ability to effectively deal with Go/ NGO/ and others agencies
  4. Administering of Procurement of Goods for an Organization.
  5. Documentation & Analytical skill in mathematics and in quantitative methods.
  6. Ability to handle project related complex issues.
  7. Capacity of Liaison with different bodies.
  8. Motor cycle driving in addition of the following Ability to effectively deal with Go/ NGO/ and others agencies.  
  9. Should be prepared mentally to do extensive field visit.  
  10. Flexible & Patient
  11. Ability to work on your own initiative as well as a part of a team
  12. Sympathetic with aims & objectives of Islamic Relief
  13. Empathy with & understanding of the basic teachings and values of Islam

  Physical

  1. Energetic and able to operate in situations which may be arduous
  2. No serious illness.
