Overall responsibility:
To ensure the overall effectiveness of IR Vocational Training Component by planning, implementing and managing the activities so as to achieve the officially acknowledged aims and objectives of the component within the prescribed policy parameters as mentioned and amended from time to time.
Main duties and responsible:
- To assist and advise the Programme Manager on all matters related to the Planning, Designing, development and implementation of IR Vocational Training and Education Programmes, Employment and Field Support Services (EFS) activities and Special project Components.
- To supervise the day-to-day operation and management of the IR Vocational Training, Education, Employment and Field Services and Special project Components.
- To monitor and evaluate the IR Vocational Training Education, Employment and Field Services and special project Programs.
- To Review IR Vocational Training and Education Curricula, syllabi and lesson plans and make them updated and appropriate in line with the prevailing job market skills need and able to educate the relevant Trainers in this regard.
- To develop appropriate staff performance assessment system and make necessary steps for staff development organizing / arranging In-house training and training on Vendors addressing the identified needs.
- To plan and organize IR Vocational Training programs as a production oriented and expertise service oriented revenue earning training centres with the objective to achieve self-sustainability.
- To establish and maintain Dynamic-linkage between IR-Vocational Training Centres and Job-market / community house holds involving them to create and organize training scenario in real life skills oriented situations.
- To operate mechanism (Tracer – Record) / system in order to identify the status of all passed out graduates and prepare success stories bank.
- To Maintain sustainable Networking with Stake holders Donors / Development Partners for getting supports for the programme (training and post-training stages) in cash or kinds or for getting employment supports (self / wage).
- To plan, organize and monitor budget and expenditure of the component so that financial discipline, control and transparency are maintained.
- To ensure proper record, maintenance of property of the component and their optimum utilization.
- To identify, develop and implement new initiatives/projects/programs to continually strengthen the IR concept in providing services towards poverty alleviation.
- To manage, supervise and develop immediate subordinates.
- To take initiative in organizing IR-VTESS Graduates Welfare Forum (GWF) for their professional development and other humanitarian qualities and good senses.
- To carry out any other task assigned by IR authority as and when required.

Person Specification: Essential
Experience/Education
- Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Agricultural engineering / A.M.I.E or equivalent qualifications with minimum six years experience. Working experience in Teaching and Training with reputed NGOs offering Vocational Training and post training support service will get preference.
- Experience in designing, implementing, supervising, monitoring of production oriented and expertise service oriented income generation and Job market need based Vocational training programmes will be preferred.
- Have the capacity to conduct Training staff, need assessment survey, Goal oriented Project planning workshop, LFA, convergent with PRSP, PRA and curriculum review / development ability
- Broad knowledge and understanding of Islamic principles as they apply to development issues.
Language: Excellent written and spoken English.
IT skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access & PowerPoint.
General Skills: Excellent communication skill
